Donald Charles Juers

(01/21/1935 – 11/27/1990)

Donald Charles Juers was an amazing man to me… almost intimidating in his stature, but quiet, gentle & forthright.  I didn’t see him much after he moved away upstate in the mid 70’s, so I have very few pictures of him, other than those that are here.  Going through some old photos now, so I hope to find some more soon. Hopefully some of you have some?

And other than photos, it’d be nice to have some info about Don from his kids.  Please email me with anything you’d like to have on this page for us all to know, & I’ll be happy to add it here.  I think he deserves to have a more substantial memorial page than I can put together by myself.

In the summer of 1957, Don married Jean Catherine Muller, a leap year baby born in 1936. Together they had 4 kids, Tom, Doug, Denise & Jennifer.  In addition, they have 9 grandchildren & so far 1 great grandchild. One of the few things I remember about Uncle Don was that he had a bright orange VW Thing, which I thought was one of the coolest cars ever, and an exact match of one that my childhood sweetheart Christine’s father had as well.  Otherwise, I have very few memories left of uncle Donny.

I know Don was a good man and at 55, went way too young.  He’s buried, along with his wife Jean, at Ferndale Cemetery (Plot H-17), 545 N. Perry St., Johnstown, Fulton County, NY .
