(b. April 12, 1971)
My fabulous cousin Corinne & I were closer when we were younger… as cousins under age 10 tend to be, I guess. Proximity made it easy back then. We didn’t see each other super-often, but often enough & we always had fun from what I can remember. After leaving New York in 1978, I can’t recall seeing Corinne since. As a boy, I always had a “thing” for her mom, a silly kid crush on Aunt Amy… she was a beautiful lady & I always enjoyed being around her, & I was so sorry to hear when Corinne lost her mom in July 2020.
So Corinne & I drifted apart for no other reason than life & relocation. I was 13, she was 7. But thank God we’ve reconnected thanks to social media, & now we have regular chats online (at least regular compared to before)! She’s intelligent, kind, generous, has a great spirit, and is a wonderful mom… I’m grateful to have her in my life.
Corinne has an amazingly bright & athletic son, Mark, who’s no kid anymore… born the same year as my niece Destiny (my sister Amanda’s daughter), and growing ridiculously fast. Since I left Long Island before gathering pictures was important to me, I never really had many pictures of Corinne, her dad (my uncle) Gerry, or her brother Jerry Jr. But thanks to social media, I can pillage a few & put them here… hope you guys don’t mind. 🙂
Corinne lives on Long Island to this day, and I truly hope I get to reunite with her when I go up there! Love you cousin! <3
