This is a very exciting day. I spoke with Laura’s younger sister Cathy Juers Vinci for the first time back in 2015 I think; I’d have to check the date. We came to chat with each other because of this site, and I’m sure I annoyed the crap out of her because I needed lots of help filling in pieces for our online Family Tree together. But she was very gracious about it. She ended up coming to Orlando for work I believe, so my ex Stephanie & I met her out for drinks & got acquainted. It was very cool for me, because Cathy became the very first Juers cousin I’d ever met (for the first time) as a result of this site… I was thrilled. It finally made me feel like the work I’d put into this thing was starting to pay off. So guess what, now it’s Laura’s turn!
Laura Marie Juers, I’ve discovered, is a lively one! She’s very intelligent, fun & engaging, very sweet & easy to talk with. Definitely an energetic Life of the Party vibe on her that I really enjoy, from the initial chats we’ve had thus far. I should elaborate fun, but not childish lol. And she likes a good Karaoke apparently, which makes her tops in my book! I began texting her to talk about the possibility of meeting for the first time, during my upcoming trip to NY (which is in 4 days from the time of this writing). Being the responsible one, as she was driving at the time, she finally must’ve just said ‘screw it I’ll just call him’ & dialed me up. I was so pleasantly surprised! We had a great first conversation March 27th & a quick chat again today. I’m really looking forward to finally meeting her in the next few days! Funny, my cousin Linda, who I’m staying with on this NY24 trip is only 9 days apart from Laura. Funny how lots of 60’s babies came so close together.
Her father John Joseph Juers passed in 2020, & her mom Barbara in 2015, and she has two older half brothers John Jr (Bronx, NY) & Billy (Puerto Rico), each of them with their own families. I’ve spoken with Billy online, the guy’s the Juers equivalent of Jack LaLanne, with a strong fait in God which I’m all about. Maybe I’ll meet them as well. But this page is for Laura, so cousin I chose a few pictures, and invite you to write your own little bio, which I would be happy to publish here. Can’t wait to see ya! ♥
