Arnie- A Short Story by Harry Juers

Harry was chiseled beyond belief;  from the waist up he was strong as an ox!

Harry Juers enjoyed writing, just like my dad Ken.  And he was very good at it.  He once wrote a poem in the 60’s about World War I, which was published in the Bayville Times in 1968, as a tribute to my Uncle Roy, who died in Vietnam with the Marine Corps a year earlier.  Recently in 2018, when Harry’s son Gary passed away, I was given custodianship over some things his brother Michael let me take home, mostly pictures and/or some documents, so I could scan & digitized them, then add them to this site.  Aside from the pictures, one of the documents I found was a short story Harry wrote call simply, “Arnie“.  It’s only 5 pages, and leaves a lot of room for literary interpretation & discussion… such was the way Harry wrote things…

Give “Arnie” a read & feel free to add your ideas about it down below… all comments moderated, of course…  but Enjoy!
